Rent, lease or buy a vending machine?
Three routes to the same system. What decides it is how you want to use your capital and what you want to do after 60 months.
| Buy | Rent | Lease | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best when | You want to own right away | You want to free up capital | You want to spread the cost and be able to buy afterwards |
| Term | None | 60 months | 60 months |
| After the term | The hardware is yours | Extend with a brand-new system or return it | Buy at residual value or return it |
Exact terms and price are set in the quote, based on the number of machines, screens and installation.
Common questions on rental and leasing
What is the difference between renting and leasing a vending machine?
Rental always includes a service agreement, and after 60 months you extend with a brand-new system or return it. With leasing you can buy the system at residual value after 60 months, or return it.
How long is the rental term?
Rental and leasing run for 60 months.
Who owns the machine?
If you buy, you own the hardware once payment is complete. After 60 months of leasing you can buy the system at residual value.
Can the screens pay for the system?
They can contribute. SmartShop can administer and sell ad and media agreements on the touchscreens, and the income can be seen as financing the system.
